Nikon loves shoes and handbags :-)

I thought you’d love to see what a cute kitty, Nikon is… and see my first Gelli plate sketchbook cover using grasses and acrylic paint. I was a bit skeptical about using a Gelli plate as I’ve only ever done monoprinting on glass and using black block paint many years ago. But just by playing around with leaves and flower heads as well as various layers of colour, I am pleased. The cover has come out textured and in places the paint has a metallic look about it.
You can read more about my printing endeavours on my other blog:
I’m going to take the sketch book away with me with the aim of doing a sketch a day. We plan to visit a deer park, so my son will be armed with his
Canon 60D and I’ll be sketching. Maybe he’ll let me show you one of his photographs of the deer.

Take care everyone and most importantly, have fun πŸ™‚

      1. No, at the moment it’s just wishful thinking- I’m currently a student, and even when I’ve finished at Uni my career (hopefully!) will involve me moving around a lot for a good 6-8 years (on average) and I wouldn’t force that on a pet

  1. aw he gets more and more cute with every photo! although I do feel very sorry for your poor shoes, they look like she has had a lot of fun attacking the first pair, at least she is using the others as a pillow in the last couple of pics. With her bag fetish you may need to check she isn’t in there before you go out just in case hehe. Have fun at the deer park πŸ™‚

    1. Yes, can you imagine turning up at a deer park then finding a kitten in your handbag lol! And, now I know where the term kitten heels comes from ha ha! πŸ™‚
